Seeking a CREATIVE MANAGER

Description: Under the direction of the Marketing/Tourism Director, the Creative Manager will Oversee and approve the conceptualization and design of all advertising, print, and digital for Marketing & Tourism, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Festival and any events produced on behalf of the Nation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Graphic Designer receives proper specifications and purpose for advertising, manage Graphic Designer's timeline and work progress to ensure all projects are completed in a timely basis, receive all Graphics not created by MNMT for approval to make sure they meet the Nation's Brand Standards
• Collaborate with Graphic Designer to Conceptualize and Design all marketing/print collateral needed for all events to assign tasks accordingly.
• Design visual concepts using graphic design tools including design software, i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud—including lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and more
• Conceptualize and design/modify/update the Muscogee Nation Branding Guide. Produce and distribute using the proper channels as needed
• Update and revised the Official Guide to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation publication.
• Works with Director to make sure all department goals are met.
• Continuous learning keeping skills and industry knowledge current
• Availability to work the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Festival; occasional holidays, evenings and weekends may be obligatory to work
• Plan and execute Festival events/activities.
• This position may require traveling within/outside state/country.
• Perform additional duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year university; and/or five years related experience and/or training in art, graphic design or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Solid knowledge of graphic design software, design and visual principles.

• Portfolio/samples of work demonstrating a high level of creative, design and software skills

• Ability to communicate design choices clearly
• Adequate multi-tasking and time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks, perform under pressure and working within established, sometimes tight, deadlines

• Effective and concise written and verbal communication skills

• This position will require to work weekends/night and travel
• Must have an Oklahoma Driver's License.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation design.
• Experience working in tribal government.
• Sensitivity to and ability to incorporate Native (specifically Muscogee) cultural design aesthetics
• Knowledge of Muscogee/Southeastern history, culture and art history
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a solid knowledge of Adobe CC including, but not limited to, lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft/Mac office programs.
