MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education - High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Experience - Experience in the management of inventory, materials, property, plant and equipment or similar relevant functions is strongly preferred.

Licenses & Certifications - Valid Driver's license is required. Incumbent must be insurable.

Knowledge and Skills -

  1. Knowledgeable of inventory and property management systems and the ability to manage such systems in an efficient manner.
  2. Knowledge of guidelines, policies and procedures, and regulations regarding asset management as set forth by established MNHS, IHS, and Federal guidelines.
  3. Ability to operate and safely use equipment for moving assets and supplies.
  4. Ability to operate large moving trucks and trailers in a safe manner.
  5. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with MNHS Staff, vendors, tribal and governmental agencies as well as the public, both orally and in writing.
Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and perform asset moves and supply relocations as directed by the Inventory Manager and Materials Management Service Manager. Help with the physical inventory of new and existing assets. Fill in for the courier when needed.
Work Environment

Work is performed in a healthcare setting. Risk of exposure to contagious disease is minimal.
Physical Demands

Work requires physical and mental stress factors, long periods of standing and walking, bending and lifting, stooping and stretching and sitting long periods of time.
Essential Functions

Satisfactory job performance will be determined by successful execution of the following:
  1. Ensure systematic control, maintenance, surveillance, accountability, optimum utilization, and disposal of all property and supplies owned or leased by MNHS as directed by the Inventory Manager.
  2. Coordinate with managers and vendors for proper delivery and set-up as required for maximum utilization and protection.
  3. Provide staff with guidance and technical direction when moving assets.
  4. Assure that assets are distributed to the proper location and department and are properly recorded into inventory records.
  5. Assures that a property record is established and maintained for all existing and newly acquired property classified as an asset.
  6. Aids the Inventory Manager with an annual inventory of all assets is conducted and these assets are accounted for and reconciled. Dispose of obsolete, inoperable, or improperly utilized assets in accordance with established policy, laws, and regulations. Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.
  7. Completes all required forms and reports for the relocation of assets and supplies.
  8. Aids the Materials Management Service Manager with fleet management.
  9. Regular attendance is required.
  10. Performs other duties as required.
