Network Engineer- 100% Remote- Advanced Routing/Network Automation (Python)

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This engineer will have a strong routing background as well as some hands-on network automation and scripting experience. They will help to support large scale networks across an enterprise organization.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and configuring routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Utilizing IP addressing and how this is set up across multiple networks
• Using route reflectors
• Utilizing Python for network automation and process automation
• Using virtualized network infrastructure across multiple platforms like Cisco OS and Juniper

• Experience using Python or another scripting language for network automation
• Strong IP addressing, route reflector, and network variable experience
• Significant network troubleshooting background across large scale networks
• Experience communicating cross-functionally with various teams and business units
• Ability to work a long-term contract on a remote basis
