Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do!This role will be located at Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Fort Worth, TX.Maverick Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Head Mechanic to join the Golf Course Maintenance Department.The Head Mechanicwill serve as the primary manager for the golf course equipment fleet. They will report directly to the Director of Agronomy and work closely to identify the immediate and future needs of the golf course. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.Key ResponsibilitiesUses sound grinding principles to keep cutting equipment razor sharp at all times.Provide servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a range of vehicles and machines according to the stringent best-practice.Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.Understand and maintain the basics mechanics of golf, horticultural, agricultural, and machinery.Oversee the mechanics workshop and facilities to ensure efficient operations and a high level of service.Cleans, organises, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.Maintain the highest possible standards of integrity and diplomacy.Qualifications5+ years as a head golf course mechanic.Clear understanding and knowledge of maintenance for horticultural, agricultural, and heavy plant machinery.Working knowledge of basic agronomics and course presentation.Knowledge of all applicable legislation, regulations, and best practice, including Health and Safety, to ensure compliance.Fabrication skills.Basic computer skills.Must possess a valid driver's license.Additional RequirementsPositive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.Must be able to work flexible work hours as needed due to business demands.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.BenefitsSalary Range 110-115K Annually Dependent on Experience.Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits.401k Contribution.Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.Employee Meals, Referral Incentives, and Recognition Programs.Holiday Pay.Professional development and upward mobility opportunities.Work-Family Culture.
